What DrNewcenstein said is absolutely correct: the simplest solution is to download mods off Nexus and install them manually (download a mod, unzip it and drag & drop it into your Fallout 4 data folder) and then use to activate them and establish load order.

True - there's nothing wrong with going the manual route while mod managers make things convenient, you don’t have to use them.ĮDIT: Ah derp! I got so focused on the “switching over” part of your question I missed the forest for the trees.

Betheda isn't going to steal your soul or crash your PC if you get mods from both. requires you to go through their in-game manager mostly because that's how the console versions work, and it's just easier if both PC and console versions function identically.ĭespite the paranoia in this thread, there's nothing wrong with using mods from both sources. It's not complicated, and gives you total control over mod installations. The devs have even welcomed modding if I'm not mistaken.Originally posted by DrNewcenstein:Or you can not use Nexus' Mod Manager and download them manually from the Nexus instead. They will always be welcome to mod the game to their taste. With that said I am happy people like Templar and the bird mod person exist. And you're seriously complaining they are taking too long? It's just a 2 day difference and they will be adding a lot more than this mod. In 2 days time they will be pushing a new version that will solve a lot of problems and add new content.
#The forest mods nexus mods Patch
The devs have addressed the bugs and have even talked about how the new patch will have a lot of fixes and additional content. They could have added balances similar to what is found in this mod.

By that time who knows how drastically the game will be. Put this mod in the final release? the final release could be a year or more away. he is altering the coding thats already there. Also note that Templar is not adding additional content or further expanding upon the game. Not saying they were the best updates but they did push some important fixes. The game has literally updated more than 3 times since its release.
#The forest mods nexus mods update
The Devs have an update timeline that they are following. Tweaking like this, generally comes at the end of the development when all the aspects are in the game. All I have is the game and a lot of spare time!Īlso, I haven't really "fixed" anything just tweaked. Remember, Im not actually trying to make the game. Tl dr Great idea, email the devs, don't surprised if this gets trashed next update. I wouldn't be at all shocked if the next 3 updates completely trash this mod.

Though, something I need to add is that the way that cannibals are handling things atm might be just a test run just essentially to make sure that the cannibals even /work/. Worst comes to worst, they say no and this ends up being something like DSFix. Not only does it save them time, but it balances things out and makes the game more playable for everyone else.

IMHO, email the devs and ask them the put your mod in the final release, or at least tweak it to their likings. Your mod makes perfect sense when you've played the game. Originally posted by dark-hello2:What saddens me is that the community is adressing the fixes faster than the devs. What else do people REALLY want in a mod? Please keep in mind that some of the features of the mod previously were so complicated I am not going to bother with those again (like all the graphical modification keys, and the changes to the phone)Īlso, currently there is no marking on the menu to tell you the mod is installed. tell me if things are still working as expected. I get soo many requests every single day I just can't take it anymore LOLīecause Im not really playing the game much at the moment, and the game has changes SO MUCH code-wise since I last modded, I need people to try things out for me
